Tuesday evening

Steve's had a very bad day. He's fighting nausea, which makes it difficult to keep the pain meds going, which makes the pain worse, and so on.

We're heading back to the home-care inpatient unit, either tonight or in the morning. They hope to be able to start an IV pain pump that we can manage at home. But, they need him inpatient to get that regulated in the beginning. They also think there's a trans-dermal medicine they can use for the nausea.

There is sporadic internet there, so we'll probably be out of touch until we get home. Thanks for remembering him in your prayers. He needs some relief from this pain and nausea cycle.

Steve and Sheri,

When I was going thru fighting cancer with Jeff, we found that barley helps with nausea much better than any pain medicine the doctors gave us. You can find it in the soup isle at the grocery store. Cook it according to directions and then you can mix it up in a blender with fruit for a milkshake. Tastes much better! Hope this helps!

Continually praying for you guys!

Jennifer and I are both praying for Steve and your family. Please know that when my wife was dealing with her cancer, Steve was one of the first to send his support. It was very comforting to her and myself to see a friend from my childhood past be the first in line with well wishes. Now its my turn to return the prayers. I want Steve to know that we are thinking about him. Although we haven't kept in touch over the recent years, I'll always cherish our childhood memories together and I am here in case you need anything at all. Don't think twice about asking us for anything. Peace my brother!

Jennifer and Steve. I do not know you, but I am making a conscience effort to pray daily for you both. In 2001 I was in your shoes Jennifer. My husband went home to be with Jesus after a 2 yr battle with brain cancer. He was 41 and I was 37.

Remember to take every thought captive and to be anxious for nothing.... keep giving it all to Jesus, he loves you sooo much!

Blessings in JESUS, Sheila
