Back home

We're back home.

Thank you to our friend who took off work, drove here with us, and returned to Houston tonight. Thank you to our sweet friends who cleaned our house, mowed our yard, watered our flowerbeds, put fresh flowers and scriptures everywhere, and stocked our fridge.

We feel so loved. (and tired)

Welcome back home! Thanks Jay for helping out so much! I want y'all to know that I'm here for you and if there is anything I can do, please let me know. I will take time off of work to help out. It would be an honor. I have put the rest of the pics I have and those that Dee had on the snblog; I hope they put a smile on your face like they do mine. I will continue to pray for your comfort. Love ya...

You have changed our lives forever for the better. Your trials make everything I encounter seem like "small stuff". I hope to follow your Christian example in every thing I strive to do. Your faith will give you the strength to face whatever tomorrow brings. I will continue to pray more, read my Bible more and trust in God more because you have reminded me that the only real peace on this earth comes from God. We are still praying every day for healing, for Steve's pain to stop and for you to be able to rest. We love you, Aunt Doris

Dear Steve and Sheri,

I simply echo the comments which have been written. You are loved, and teaching us to love more fully.

Be at peace, love one another, rest as you can (it's God's plan), and we promise to pray without ceasing for release from pain, strength to endure, and God's perfect will to unfold.

You are beautiful. How glorious to be apart of you, as the Body of Christ.
Love,
Bettye

I love my friends! This decision is so hard. We are praying for Steve's pain that God will hold him and ease the pain. Sheri, we are praying for you that the Holy Spirit will continue to grow His peace in you and comfort your heart. We pray for more days that you and Steve can enjoy together in the "now". You both are amazing to me.

Dear Steve and Sherri,
We have never met before, but in my eyes "Family is family!" My name is Cheri Haren and I am the wife of Bryan Haren whom is Tommy Marlins son. I only met the Marlin family about 5 years ago, but have always felt a wonderful connection with them. Even more so than the family that I grew up with. Everyone has shown us so much warmth and compassion. I am hoping that someday we will get to meet your family. I am so sorry Steve that you are going thru this trial in life, and will keep you and your family lifted up in prayer! "Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; Save me and I will be saved, For You are my praise.! Jeremiah 17:14" Thank you for the wonderful blog. I will keep us updated here at home thru the daily posts your family is making.

God Bless you all.

Cheri Haren

I read this blog and these comments several times a day. My mind swirls thinking of what I could do to help. Tears roll down my face after several long minutes which seem like hours pass by. I feel so helpless and at times so very inadequate to leave comments, make a phone call, visit or anything. I realize, as I make this journey with you Steve and Sheri and so many of your friends and family that I'm powerless to do anything without God. I have no hope, no peace and no joy without God. So I say all this to let you know that we love you and even though you don't hear from us often enough. I pray and cry and plead to the Lord daily on your behalf. My heart hurts so much I do not have the words to describe.
All I know to do and say is WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!
