We've been rather discouraged the last few days with the way Steve's feeling. He's not able to eat, and getting very weak. It's been made clear to us that we need to be more aggressive with our treatments. The detox and other things aren't going to work quickly enough for this fast-moving type of cancer.
We asked this morning for discernment, and we've now made an appointment with an alternative clinic in Houston. We have to get all our medical records today, and we can begin treatments on Monday in Houston. Looks like we'll be there for about two weeks.
Please pray that the details of gathering all these records will be smooth and fast. Please pray for Steve's comfort between now and Monday. And, that the Lord will use this treatment to miraculously heal Steve. I feel very hopeful. Steve said he feels too bad right now to feel hopeful.
"Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; be merciful to me and hear my prayer." Psalm 4:1

I pray that His perfect love will cast out fear and that you will know His perfect peace. That you will know He is there with you and will never leave you nor forsake you. I Pray that you will feel His presence and His hold on you fully convinced He will never let go. That you will be confident there is an end to these troubles as you cling to Him and that you will have a glimpse of that glorious Light that is your Hope. I ask that even in your pain your heart will still praise Him for He knows how much you love Him and is interceding for you.

Dear Steve and Sheri:
I can`t imagine how Steve is feeling at this moment and words cannot express how we feel for him and for all of your family. What I only want to let you know is that everyday at everytime I am praying for you, praying that the Lord will miraculously heal Steve, praying for you Sheri,Charly and Andy to stay strong and hopeful; trusting in our Lord.
I will pray that the treatment he will receive in Houston can help him feel much better.

I am consumed with what you are going through I know this is still disbelief to you both. You don't know me and I don't know you. My sister Katelynn sent me a link to this e-mail and your situation has touched my heart (big tears in Canada right now). I am also a believer and my prayer for each of you is threefold: 1) that you can be miraculously healed, giving God glory; 2) that you will continue to be strong and on your knees, giving God glory, and 3) that in this horrible experience, you will continue to be a witness to both unbelievers and those "on the fence," giving God glory.
