Monday evening - home

It feels good to be home. We got here around 1. The peace and quiet is nice. Just letting everything soak in. Grieving. Praying. Crying. Laughing. Being together.
More later.

"Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." Psalm 90:12

You don't know me but Bob Kulick gave me your name and blog address. I just recently defeated throat cancer for the 2nd time in 3 years and I firmly believe that God performed a miracle with me. And more importantly, I truly believe that He can do the same for you. You and your family will be in my daily prayers and if you would like, I would be more than happy to speak with you if you're up to it. My cell number is 972-849-0682. Please feel free to call anytime. God's speed to you.

"Don't be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" Philippians 4: 6-7

Dear Steve,

You dont know me, but I am a parent at PCCS. I have all faith in God. He is good all of the time. May His will be done in your life. You might check into Ambrotose, a glyconutrient: a cellular nutrition that aids the body in "fixing itself". It has done great wonders in my son, Rocky, who was very, very ill with an almost collapsed lung, ect.. I will be praying for you and for God to give you all peace through this trial/valley you are going through. "May God bless you and keep you; may He shine His face upon you & be gracious---and give you Peace!" Numbers 6:24-26

I am very happy to know that you are home now. We are praying that pain will go from you and that you receive the correct medication that can make you feel better. Sunday morning we gathered at church and pray specially for you...and I also want to let you know that we are praying for all of your requests and I know that God will make a miracle on you Steve. You and Sheri are inspiration to many of us here in Mexico and I feel very proud of you on how you are taking this situation. We love you.

Not sure if you remember us Steve - Andy and Laura Kelley from the singles ministry. We are incredibly burdened and praying. I wanted to put you in contact with a couple that used to attend LP - he had cancer and received an amazing alternative treatment to chemo that they would love to tell you about. Their blog is www.welcometothefoxhole.blogspot.com. Instead of putting their email here, mine is algmkelley@hotmail.com. Email me and I can get you in touch with them if you're inclined.

Oh, how we are burdened and praying hard for you guys. Amazing blog, amazing verses. God IS receiving the glory, I imagine.

We are glad you are back home Steve! I started a blog for the dudes. The pic is from one of the rare moments we all could get together. Jay is trying to get some time off to come up, and I've scheduled a time to help out.
I contacted Don and June for the first time today in years. It was good to hear from them. Chad has reached out to Barry, and I'll try Greg P. I'll check in tomorrow.
Love ya bud... Toby

Dear Steve and Sheri,

A friend of mine sent your blog to me and requested prayer on your behalf. I wanted to share my favorite Psalm with you and just let you know that I am another member of the body of Christ who cares and is thinking of you in prayer and faith.

Cedar Hill, TX

Psalm 40

For the director of music. Of David. A psalm.

1 I waited patiently for the LORD;
he turned to me and heard my cry.
2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.

3 He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear
and put their trust in the LORD.

4 Blessed is the man
who makes the LORD his trust,
who does not look to the proud,
to those who turn aside to false gods. [a]

5 Many, O LORD my God,
are the wonders you have done.
The things you planned for us
no one can recount to you;
were I to speak and tell of them,
they would be too many to declare.

6 Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,
but my ears you have pierced [b] , [c] ;
burnt offerings and sin offerings
you did not require.

7 Then I said, "Here I am, I have come—
it is written about me in the scroll. [d]

8 I desire to do your will, O my God;
your law is within my heart."

9 I proclaim righteousness in the great assembly;
I do not seal my lips,
as you know, O LORD.

10 I do not hide your righteousness in my heart;
I speak of your faithfulness and salvation.
I do not conceal your love and your truth
from the great assembly.

11 Do not withhold your mercy from me, O LORD;
may your love and your truth always protect me.

12 For troubles without number surround me;
my sins have overtaken me, and I cannot see.
They are more than the hairs of my head,
and my heart fails within me.

13 Be pleased, O LORD, to save me;
O LORD, come quickly to help me.

14 May all who seek to take my life
be put to shame and confusion;
may all who desire my ruin
be turned back in disgrace.

15 May those who say to me, "Aha! Aha!"
be appalled at their own shame.

16 But may all who seek you
rejoice and be glad in you;
may those who love your salvation always say,
"The LORD be exalted!"

17 Yet I am poor and needy;
may the Lord think of me.
You are my help and my deliverer;
O my God, do not delay.

Praying for you guys! Sheri, I've walked in your shoes and if I can offer anything to you at all, it would be to enjoy every moment and take pride in the little things that happen during the day. Steve, you have a great wit about you. You make everyone around you smile! You guys have "the faith of an elephant" trust in him and he will give you comfort and guidance.
