Steve went to be with the Lord yesterday afternoon. In the presence of God Almighty. No more pain.

We are praying for you and the family. Please know that we are here for you...just let us know if there is anything we can do. With love and prayers, The Horan Family
PCCS has set up a scholarship fund for Andy in Steve's name.
Rest in peace, Steve. You will be dearly missed here, but you will be a welcome addition to God's kingdom.
Tim Cuyler
Steve was a man whole left a great legacy. He's going to be missed so much.
Thank you Sheri for sharing so much of this difficult time with us.
Scott & Stephanie Crissey
Dear Sheri, Charlie, Andy, and Warren Family:
Last night and this morning as I read through various verses, I felt compeled to share these with you since my own words fall so very short:
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another- and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:23-25
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sine that so easily entangles, and let us run awith perserverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, who scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:1-3
In a nutshell, this was Steve's life, will forever be Steve's legacy, and are God's reminders to those left behind of how we are to continue to live our lives until we are welcomed into glory.
Thank you for sharing with us all the final months of your beloved's incredible/ Godly testimony! It was not in vain.
Much love,
Michelle
To my friend's beloved and his kin: Did you mark how naturally--as if he'd been born for it--the earth-born man entered the new life? How all his doubts became, in the twinkling of an eye, ridiculous? I know what Steve was saying to himself, "Yes! Of course. It was always like this. All horrors have followed the same course, getting worse and worse and forcing you into a kind of bottle-neck till, at the very moment you thought you must be crushed, behold! you were out of the narrows and all was suddenly well. The extraction hurt more and more, and then the tooth was out. The dream became a nightmare and then you woke. You die, and die, and then you are beyond death. How could I have ever doubted it?"
And then he saw... Him. This man, this thing begotten in a bed, could look on Him. I know that Steve knew Him too, so that he said to the Lord, not, "Who are you?" but, "So, it was you, all the time"
I envy my brother this hour. I do not envy his family's grief. I do not say, 'do not weep', for not all tears are an evil. But for my friend Steve, there are no more tears, only joy, Glory and unbounded joy.
--J.T.
Lifting your family up in prayer at this time. God's peace and comfort to you all.
Sheri,
Our prayers are with you and the family for peace and comfort in our Father's Arms. We will miss Steve here on this earth, but know he is rejoicing with Our Lord in Heaven.
As you go through this time of loss, please know you are surrounded by prayer.
Thank You for your willingness to follow God in all of this and to share your humble spirit with all of us.
God was and will continue to be glorified in this journey.
In His Love,
Roman & Shari Rios
Sheri,
I sent an email to my friends and wanted to share it with you.
"A dear friend of our family went to be with Our Lord yesterday after battling cancer.
This man and his family are such strong believers in Our Father. Their faith is unbelievable. Even in the face of death on this Earth, Steve and his family have been so diligent in their prayers and faithfulness to God's Plan.
When Steve was in the hospital, before he was diagnosed, he prayed out loud saying, " Dear Lord, whether this trial be short or long, let it be to Your Glory." That is an amazing testament to the man Steve was. Steve was very active in the church and on mission trips. He simplified his life so that He could be used for God and not let material possessions get in the way of God's Plan for him.
I could go on and on about this amazing man and his wife and their humbleness, but I could never do it justice.
Steve knew he was going to Heaven and would receive his glorified body when he arrived there. Steve is no longer in pain, He is in Heaven with our Savior and Lord. Steve was not afraid of death. He was ready to go home and be out of pain, but did worry about his family left behind.
We don't know why these things happen, but we know God has a greater plan that we may not understand. Steve understood this and didn't question it. He just wanted to live his life for God and he succeeded at doing that.
Steve will leave behind a legacy of serving God and others. He has taught many the importance of cherishing every moment, seeking God in all that we do, serving others, and humbly submitting our lives to God so that His work can be done through us. What a blessing Steve and his family have been and will continue to be in our lives!
I ask that you please keep this family in your prayers. As the grief process begins, and the family begins to cope with this "earthly" loss, it will be difficult. Please pray for peace and comfort for them and for them to allow God to hold them in His arms to provide this peace and comfort.
In His Love,
Shari
Sheri and Andy, Charlie and the Warren family,
Matthew 13:43: “Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father.” This is surely a time of mourning and rejoicing. Sheri, thank you for sharing Steve’s journey to victory with a testimony that makes it plain that you know from whence cometh your help (Psalm 121: 1-2).
Prayerfully,
Owen Fourie
PS. We are particularly blessed to have Andy in the 7th Grade at PCCS, and our love goes out especially to him at this time.
This morning in the church's service I told Pastor Israel and we prayed for you, Charlie, Andy and Steve's relatives. Pastor Israel said something I really liked... He said: Lets not pray for Steve anymore, because he is now enjoying being in God's presence, the Bible tells us that in Philippians 1:21... "For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.". Lets just thank God for his life, for the blessing that he was in all of us that got to know him and for the Victory he has achieved in Christ, he won the final battle in Jesus name... But lets now pray for his wife Sheri, his sons Charlie & Andy and his relatives...
And so we did. You will always count with our support & prayers Sheri, we love you in Christ. This is an appropiate verse and then my favorite verse of the Bible that I want to share with you: "He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.". Isaiah 40:11.
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.". Isaiah 41:10.
What a wonderful gift heaven just received!! Thank you, God, for letting Steve be such a blessing to us on earth and we cannot wait to greet him agian one day! Until that day comes..Lord, please watch over the family and give them peace and comfort them them with your love!
May Jesus comfort you.
Thank you, Father, for removing Steve's pain. I pray that Sheri, Charlie, Andy, Steve's parents, and all of his relatives can find peace and comfort in knowing that Steve is now in his pain-free glorified body in Your holy, holy presence.
Lord, Steve will be sorely missed by so many. I pray that You will hold the entire Warren family close to Your heart. As you wipe each tear from their eyes, Lord, I would humbly ask that you remind them of a happier time with Steve, a time of laughter and love.
Sheri, thank you so much for sharing your difficult journey with me. You have set such a good example for all of us.
Jan King
Dear Sheri, Andy, and Charlie,
I have known and have been admiring your family from a distance for some time now. I first knew you as an HCA family and parents of your fine young man, Andy. I have always been hopeful that God would intersect our son, Jack, and Andy's paths as they seem to have a common enthusiasm and love for the Lord. Since we found out about Steve, we have been praying for you. We are heavy hearted about your loss and just wanted you to know that we will continue to lift your family up in prayer. Your family has been a beautiful example of how to live, love and serve Christ together.
Praying for Jesus' grace and strength,
The Ragsdill's
Scott, Pam, Jack, Luke, and Will
Steve will be missed terribly! I have no concept of the grief his family, loved-ones, and friends are feeling. But what I stuggle with, what I must task myself with, is focusing on the Glorification of God, and the deliverance of Steve into Heaven! I am truly saddened, yet I know that Steve has seen our Maker and he has heard the words of Matthew 25:21: "Well Done, Good and Faithful Servant!" With tears AND a smile on my face, Victory in Jesus!
In God's Grace,
Tim Pace and family
How awesome to see Jesus face to face! It is the believer's constant desire. Still, family and friends will grieve and miss Steve. Though we know what awaits us, we still suffer the pain of separation. Because of this, my prayers are that our Loving Father, whose loving kindness is better than life, will give you all comfort and peace beyond understanding, as well as the blessed assurance that you Will see Steve again. Until the day that all who belong to Christ are together, one with the Lord, God Bless and Amen!

Sheri, Charlie and Andy,
Our prayers and thoughts are with you. This morning in our Sunday School class we prayed for your family as we have every week. Your faith and Steve's faith is a true testimony of God's grace, strength and peace. I know that God will continue to provide His grace to you in the days ahead. Steve's journey in this earthly life has been completed but his testimony and mission continues to touch lives. Our prayers do not stop because he is with the Father but continue to be for you in the days ahead.
Much Love,
Tim and Michelle Morgan
Mitchell, Mikel and Colton
I only found out about the journey now that it is complete.
One of my grandmothers passed away last June.
One of my grandfathers passed away last October.
My mother passed away last July from cancer after being perfectly healthy in April.
If there ever comes a time in the middle of the night when things may seem to be overwhelming or out of control, remember that the sun always rises in a few more hours and someone is always there for you.
Take Care
Dear Warren Family,
I didin't know Steven, but knew of him through my daughter Ara Hunt who worked with him.
I have been praying for God's will for Steven's life. Healing, peace and no more pain.
I am so sorry for your loss. I pray that Our Heavenly Father will give you the peace at this time and times to come.
Its a very sad day for all who knew him and for all who read your blog about him.
Thank you for that. I would have never been able to do that. You are quite a woman.
My prayers will remain for you and your family.

My heart is emotionally broke for your loss and for everyone who knew Steve. His life and the life you and his family leads has shown so many what true love is, how faithful you all are to God and no matter how hard things got, you all have stayed strong and truly trusted God!
I was hornered to know Steve. I'm just so happy he loved Christ and that gives me comfort knowing he is being held in his heavenly fathers arms.
I will contuine to pray for your boys and your whole family.

Sheri, Andy, and Charlie,
Sharing in Steve's life here on Earth was such a blessing for our family. We will always hold the wonderful memories of serving alongside Steve in Mexico with PIB and in various ministries here. He is such a wonderful Christian man who showed his love for our Lord in many ways. We will miss him here on Earth, however, I look forward to the day when we will be reunited in Heaven. We will continue to pray for you.
Love, Charlotte and the family
Sheri, this is an email I received from my BSF leader Bonnie Cathey:
Heavenly Father, I lift up this family to you right now. Lord provide comfort for the family and Lord you know their many needs both now and in the future. Would you as the great provider meet all those needs. We are grateful that we can trust you in good times and bad because you are good, loving, compassionate and caring.
Amen.

Oh, the emotions tied to "death".I sing praises to the Lord, because Steve ran an amazing race and has now crossed the finish line. He's face to face with the Savior we all long to be with. There is no more pain or suffering. But, I cry for those he has left behind because I know he will be missed.
I thank the Lord for the way He used Steve in my life and please know that I love you Sheri. Your faith has been amazing and I will continue to pray for you to find comfort in the hands of an all knowing God and that His glory will continue to be revealed in the days to come.
To the Lord every knee will bow,
Virginia <><
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. Steve was a great guy, and I am honored I got to know him in this life, and look forward to seeing him again one day. Know that if I can help you with anything... all you have to do is ask.

Steve was a light in the office and he will be greatly missed. I can't even express in words what an amazing man Steve is. I'm sure the Lord is rejoicing to have a man as wonderful as Steve at His side.
To Sheri and the boys, We will continue to pray for you and we will continue to raise money for you. Let us know if there is anything we can do. We love you!

I HAVE A PLACE IN HEAVEN
Please don't sing sad songs for me,
Forget your grief and fears,
For I am in a perfect place
Away from pain and tears...
It's far away from hunger
And hurt and want and pride,
I have a place in Heaven
With the Master at my side.
My life on earth was very good,
As earthly life can go,
But Paradise is so much more
Than anyone can know...
My heart is filled with happiness
And sweet rejoicing, too.
To walk with God is perfect peace,
A joy forever new.
Sheri, Charlie, Andy, Don, June, Tommy, Tami, Shane, Toby..
The list is many, as is the number of lives Steve touched.
I am not sure what to say to comfort all of you at this time. Any words pale in comparrison to the loss of Steve.
I watched the sun rise this morning, and thought, how beautiful that Steve had his hand on the paintbrush, watching us from the other side. How incredible that his body has been glorified and he is finally without pain and at peace.
Sheri, your remarkable strength and faith, your openess through this journey is amazing.
My life has been blessed and my faith has been renewed in a way I never imagined.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
much love,
Marcy
May our Lord be with each of you! Praying for strength, peace, and the Lord to hold you through this. May you feel his complete presence and arms tightly wrapped around you.
Sheri & Andy, We have been so inspired by Steve's story and the great faith of your family. The kingdom has been enriched by his struggle and I pray many will be brought to Jesus through your story. Praise the Lord that Steve is free at last. You are in our prayers. Mica & Bobby Pryor

Sheri,
We am thankful for you and Steve for being such a wonderful example of what faith is. It is hard to finally say goodbye and we will all miss him, but we are thankful God blessed us with knowing Steve so that we can miss him. I (Lance) am in California and will not be able to attend the services, but my heart is there with you guys.
Lance and Jennifer Sewell
Praying for your family during this difficult time.
May Jesus comfort you like never before.
Sheri and family,
What a beautiful service today for Steve. I think he would have been so humbled by the way he has is being remembered and I think that he is being remembered exactly how he would want to be; a devoted Christian, husband, father & friend. It goes without saying that Steve touched so many lives, and his legacy will continue because of the seeds he planted. What an honor to know you and Steve and to call you our friends.
We continue to pray for God's peace for you.
Roman & Shari
Sheri,
You don't know me - I live with my family in Rockwall, but have been so deeply touched by Steve's battle and the strength through your postings. I am so sorry for your loss, but am praying that you feel the comfort of our great and mighty God, with whom Steve is now fully at rest and free from pain. Because of my own faith in Christ, I look forward to meeting Steve in Heaven and thanking him personally for all that his ministry meant to me during his last weeks and months here on earth. We will be praying for you and for the family.
In Christ,
Martin Jones
May god watch over and bless your family, always know that you are loved. My family is praying for yours.
Sheri, Andy & Charlie
I find myself going to this blog the first thing every morning. I feel closer to you when I read all the wonderful comments about your family. My prayer is that you will be able to get some much needed rest, especially a peaceful sleep for as long as you need. We love you & will be praying continually for you. With our Love, Aunt Doris, Uncle Roy & Granny
Sheri
Please continue a blog. If you feel you can.
He makes all things new.
What a blessing.
It pleases me to know that our Heavenly Father does in fact make all things new again ...
Hard to find words. Thank you for sharing such an emotional journey within your family. How many lives have been lifted up by Steve before during and now after? God is a great weaver.
Our prayers are with you and your family!

Sheri,
I am so sorry. You are in our thoughts and in our prayers.
I'm sorry, too, that we were not able to attend the visitation and service. We had planned to be there, but we had an unexpected crisis with Mike's mother and had to be at the hospital with her.
I echo the person above. Please continue the blog, if you can. It would help us all know how to pray for you specifically.
You and Steve have been an inspiration through all of this. Your prayers for God to be glorified have most definitely been answered.
Mike and Dollie
Yesterday in church the message was about prayer and stressed the importance of couples praying together. I found myself thinking of you and Steve as the perfect example. This blog illustrated how much in unity you both were in your daily prayer life. Thank you for showing us the way to live each day. Thanks you for showing us total and complete faith. You have glorified God in this entire journey and I know you will continue doing so in the journey to come. Sheri, God Bless You and the boys. Let us know if you need anything. Stephen Arnold
I didn't know Steve - a while back a friend asked me to pray for your family and provided the link to this site - and now I feel that I do know him and you, or at least that I know something of your character. I am so humbled and inspired by your faithfulness and your singular focus on God. God has indeed been glorified through your experience. Thank you for sharing your journey. My prayers are with you Sheri, and your family, and all who know and love Steve. He is free but you all must wait and my heart cries out for God to give you supernatural peace and comfort.
Your sister in Christ, Sally R
Sheri - Our church prayed for you and your family last Sunday and this Sunday.
Gaynelle and Miles
Sheri, I don't know you, but I knew Steve during a very trying few years in my own life, when he and I were both tall, skinny (gangly!) 17-19 year olds and were active in the youth group at First Baptist Church of Dallas. My mother was dying of cancer and needless to say it was very hard to deal with. He was a dear friend to me and a comfort -- always there with a smile, a prayer, a joke, an upbeat comment, or whatever it took to raise me out of the doldrums. He was such a gentle, funny guy.
He was a special person, and I sorely regret that we lost touch sometime in the mid-1990s. While I am thankful for the merciful end to his suffering, I hold you and your kids in my thoughts and prayers and especially pray the Lord eases your grief in this trying time.
Larry ("Tooey") McQueary
I do not know you or your family, but my heart was broken when I learned Steve had passed. However, my sadness was repalced with joy to think of Steve in the presence of our Lord.
Praying for the Lord to comfort you & your family during this dark time. But Praise the Lord that we know the Light. Steve is with that light now, and as Christians we will join Steve in the light one day.
Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Your story had been an amazing testimony and the Lord is glorified with your experience. Praying you find your sanctuary while you heal.
Steve passed from an amazing wife that loved him in this world to the Lord that loves him like no other. That one thought alone is comforting.
Hope all your happy memories will be your comfort throughout the rest of your life in this world.
Love in Christ,
Misty
Sheri,
I only knew Steve a very short time when he came to Keller Williams and it is this time I am grateful for to have crossed paths with him. My heart goes out to you and your family.
Donna Pfluge
Sheri,
Just want you to know that you, Charlie, Andy, Don, June and all of those that loved Steve are in my prayers.
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of all of you.
I know the feeling of that loss.
I am praying you find Peace.
love,
Marcy
